The QRC philosophy prioritizes fast donning, structural simplicity, and ballistic function over the feature-rich accessory ecosystem of full tactical carriers.
The QRC and its placard are constructed entirely from Mil-Spec IR-treated 500D Cordura and Murdock webbing, with all fabrics, webbing, and plastic hardware treated at source for the lowest possible infrared signature. This is a critical distinction: many budget plate carriers use standard (untreated) Cordura and webbing that reflects or emits differently under near-IR observation than surrounding environment and natural materials — creating a visible signature under NVG-equipped observation. The QRC's IR treatment at the fiber/material source ensures consistent IR performance throughout the carrier's entire surface, not just where a post-production treatment was applied.
The QRC supports bottom-load armor insertion with an internal stirrup system that allows the operator to adjust plate height within the carrier for correct plate positioning relative to body landmarks (clavicle notch, sternum).
