Product Overview

The EDC Ankle Trauma Kit addresses a gap that most IFAKs cannot fill: completely concealed, all-day wearable trauma capability at the ankle level. Law enforcement officers in plainclothes assignments, off-duty officers, concealed carry permit holders, and tactical professionals in permissive environments can carry a full tourniquet, chest seal, gauze, and gloves while in civilian attire without any indication of medical gear.

The Tweave Durastretch Nylon construction is specifically engineered for comfort during extended wear — it moves with the wearer's stride, doesn't create pressure points, and includes a breathable interior for moisture wicking. Individual hook-and-loop closures secure the tourniquet, gauze, and chest seal in separate pockets, preventing shifting during movement. The concealed compartment accommodates a standard double-stack pistol magazine or ID card/documents.

The Basic w/Bleeding Control Dressing (BCD) variant upgrades the wound packing gauze to a QuikClot® Bleeding Control Dressing — providing hemostatic capability for more severe wounds. For operators who use chitosan-based hemostasis, alternatives should be ordered through MED-TAC's individual component offerings.
