The EFAK is NAR's Expeditionary Military First Responder kit — designed to the exact requirements of units operating in expeditionary environments where resupply is limited and each operator must carry a primary and secondary tourniquet. The EFAK achieves this by including a C-A-T® tourniquet inside the main kit pouch and a second C-A-T® in an externally MOLLE-mounted tourniquet holder attached to the kit exterior. This dual-tourniquet configuration is standard military doctrine for expeditionary forces.
Beyond the tourniquet standard, the EFAK's Advanced-only loadout provides complete MARCH coverage: Massive Hemorrhage (Combat Gauze® + 2 gauze rolls + ETD™ + tourniquet × 2), Airway (28F NPA), Respiration (HyFin® Vent Chest Seal Twin Pack + ARS® 14G needle decompression), and Circulation (ETD™ + duct tape for improvised occlusive dressing). The polycarbonate eye shield and combat casualty card complete the kit for field documentation.
