Wearable Tourniquet Trainer

Regular price $742.99 Regular price

The TrueClot® Wearable Tourniquet Trainer is a wearable arm device that allows students to apply a full tourniquet — high and tight or 2-3 inches above the wound — to a padded simulated limb worn by a live partner. Training blood pumps through a simulated vessel and stops when the tourniquet correctly occludes flow. Available in Light and Dark skin tones. Designed to be worn under a uniform or large T-shirt.

Product Overview

The most operationally realistic tourniquet training puts the tourniquet on an actual human limb — not a static arm model on a table. The TrueClot Wearable Tourniquet Trainer bridges the gap between task-trainer practice and full scenario-based training by giving the "casualty" student a wearable padded limb device that their "responder" partner applies an actual tourniquet to. This dynamic training format forces responders to apply the tourniquet to a limb that can move, resist, and provide the natural behavioral cues of a casualty under duress.

The heavy-duty padding on the arm cuff serves two functions: it protects the student wearing the device from the compression and pain that correct tourniquet application would otherwise produce on an unprotected limb, and it provides a representative tissue analog that tourniquet application can be meaningfully performed on. The bleeding wound with simulated vessel uses a 1-liter squeeze bottle to pressurize training blood through the device — flow stops when the tourniquet compresses the vessel, giving the responder student the visual endpoint confirmation that marks successful application.

The trainer fits the left arm only and is designed to be worn under a uniform sleeve or large T-shirt, enabling full scenario integration: the casualty student appears to have an injury concealed beneath clothing, the responder must identify the wound, expose the limb (uniform removal or cutting), locate the correct tourniquet placement, apply high and tight or 2-3 inches above the wound, and windlass to cessation of bleeding. This complete scenario sequence is significantly more training-effective than isolated technique repetition on a static trainer.
