How many casualties can this 4-pack treat?

Four. Each of the four vacuum-sealed kits is a complete independent unit with its own tourniquet, gauze, chest seal, gloves, shears, and JIT card — one kit per major trauma casualty.

Why are the kits vacuum-sealed in this pack?

Vacuum sealing extends shelf life by protecting contents from humidity and contamination, and reduces pack profile for AED cabinet co-location or wall case storage. The seal is broken only when a kit is deployed.

What does 'Intermediate' add over Basic?

Intermediate adds a chest seal (HyFin® or equivalent twin pack) to the Basic configuration's tourniquet + gauze + pressure dressing load. This enables treatment of penetrating chest wounds in addition to extremity hemorrhage.
