The HALO Vented Seal's adhesive formulation is specifically engineered to maintain adhesion on wet, bloody chest walls — a common failure mode for inferior chest seal products. Two seals in the bundle address entry and exit wounds or bilateral chest injuries. The vented design passively manages pressure differentials, reducing the risk of seal-induced tension pneumothorax without requiring provider management after placement.

The OLAES Modular Bandage is one of the most versatile trauma dressings available. Beyond its primary function as an elastic compression bandage, the OLAES wrapper can function as a non-vented chest seal occlusive in extremis, its pressure cup provides focal point pressure for arterial bleeding, and its elastic material can substitute for a tourniquet for very distal extremity wounds.
