SAVe II+™ Initial Operating Capability (IOC) Set
A comprehensive accessory and consumable package that brings a SAVe II+ ventilator to full operational readiness — Rampart™ mounting, carry case, capnography integration, and resupply circuits in one kit. Ventilator sold separately. Black (25-325-BL) or Coyote Brown (25-325-CB).
The SAVe II+™ IOC Set is Safeguard Medical’s stand-up package for units fielding the SAVe II+ ventilator for the first time. Rather than sourcing accessories, mounting hardware, consumables, and monitoring components across multiple orders, the IOC Set consolidates everything needed for full operational readiness into a single kit. The SAVe II+ ventilator itself is the only component not included.
Mechanical ventilation is initiated and managed only by appropriately trained and credentialed personnel operating under a physician-directed protocol and local medical authority. This page is a product overview, not an operating manual, settings guide, or substitute for accredited clinical training on the device.

What It Is
The SAVe II+™ IOC Set is the comprehensive first-purchase package for units, agencies, and medical teams fielding the SAVe II+ ventilator. Instead of procuring accessories, mounting hardware, consumables, and monitoring equipment across separate orders, the IOC Set consolidates everything required to reach full operational readiness into one kit.
It includes the Rampart™ system — Safeguard Medical’s mounting and integration solution that secures the ventilator to stretchers, litters, and tactical vehicles — which is particularly important for aeromedical and ground MEDEVAC, where unsecured equipment is a patient-safety and mission risk. Combined with EMMA capnography integration, circuit resupply components, and an organized carry case, the set takes units to full mission capability without additional sourcing delays. Fully kitted weight is 8.35 kg (18.4 lbs), reflecting the comprehensive contents. The ventilator itself is sold separately; the set is available in Black or Coyote Brown to match unit color standards.
About the SAVe II+ Ventilator Platform
The SAVe II+ Simplified Automated Ventilator is a compact, durable portable mechanical ventilator for prehospital, aeromedical, and Role 1/2 use. It weighs 2.8 lbs and operates for up to 9.25 hours on a single charge. It uses height-based patient presets to derive tidal volume at 6 mL/kg ideal body weight — a methodology aligned with lung-protective ventilation strategy — and supports a manual CPR ventilation mode for cardiac-arrest scenarios.
The SAVe II+ is referenced in TCCC guidance as a mechanical ventilation option for prolonged field care where sustained manual BVM ventilation is impractical. The platform is designed for use by personnel with minimal advanced-airway training, with audible and visual alarms for circuit disconnection, pressure limits, and low battery. The IOC Set’s Rampart™ integration keeps the ventilator secured and accessible throughout transport.
Procurement & Deployment
The IOC Set is the recommended first purchase for units fielding the SAVe II+, eliminating the risk of incomplete capability at initial deployment. For ongoing resupply of consumable components (breathing circuits, HME filters, O₂ reservoirs, noise attenuators), the SAVe II+ Starter Bundles — available in 3-patient and 5-patient configurations — are the preferred procurement path after IOC is established.
