TACMED Stop the Bleed® AED-Kit

What is included in the TACMED Stop the Bleed® AED Kit?

The kit contains: 1× SOF® Tourniquet (Official Tourniquet of the American Red Cross®), 1× Compact Trauma Bandage®, 1× Compressed Gauze, and 1 pair of Nitrile Gloves — all packed in a resealable waterproof pouch. The AED wall cabinet is not included.

Does the Stop the Bleed® AED Kit include an AED cabinet?

No. The TACMED Stop the Bleed® AED Kit (SKU 83-0067) is the hemorrhage control kit only — designed to be mounted inside an existing or new AED wall cabinet. It is compatible with standard ZOLL and Philips AED cabinet configurations. The AED and cabinet are sold separately at MED-TAC International.

Why pair a hemorrhage control kit with an AED cabinet?

AED cabinets address cardiac arrest, but in many emergencies — particularly active shooter events, mass casualty incidents, and industrial accidents — life-threatening hemorrhage is the primary threat. The Stop the Bleed® movement, supported by the American Heart Association and American College of Surgeons, advocates for co-locating hemorrhage control equipment with AEDs to enable bystanders to address both threats without seeking additional supplies.

Is the SOF® Tourniquet in this kit the same as sold individually?

Yes. The SOF® Tourniquet included in the TACMED Stop the Bleed® AED Kit is the identical product manufactured by Tactical Medical Solutions — the same windlass tourniquet designated as the official tourniquet of the American Red Cross®. It features the same 1.5-inch reinforced polyester strap, aircraft-grade aluminum windlass, and Tri-Ring Lock™ system.

Can this kit be restocked after use?

Yes. All components in the TACMED Stop the Bleed® AED Kit are individually available at MED-TAC International — SOF® Tourniquet, Compact Trauma Bandage®, Compressed Gauze, and nitrile gloves can each be purchased separately to restock the kit after use. This allows the waterproof pouch and cabinet installation to remain in place while only consumable components are replaced.
