A 4 oz, 2″ × 6.5″ × 1″ MOLLE/PALS tourniquet carrier with an elastic hook-and-loop retention strap and a snag-resistant nylon top strap. Agencies equipping large groups — patrol units, range safety officers, civilian training programs — where cost per position matters · Individual operators adding a second, redundant tourniquet carry point without a meaningful weight penalty · Facilities and vehicles staging tourniquets on headrests, MOLLE panels or wall-mounted boards in schools, offices and public buildings · Anyone supplementing an IFAK who wants a tourniquet reachable on the outside of the pack rather than zipped inside it.

This is a deliberately simple carrier: maximum compatibility at minimum weight and cost. Choose Red where an agency has standardized on colour-coded bleeding-control stations, and a tactical colour where the holder needs to disappear into an existing loadout. Buy the tourniquet separately, and train on the specific device you carry.

The elastic hook-and-loop retention strap stretches to fit around any standard packaged tourniquet, and the 2" × 6.5" × 1" carrier dimensions provide sufficient space for any folded windlass tourniquet in standard configuration.

Is the Universal Tourniquet Holder MOLLE compatible?

Yes. The Universal Tourniquet Holder features a MOLLE/PALS mounting panel on the back that attaches directly to any MOLLE-compatible vest, chest rig, plate carrier, pack, or wall-mounted MOLLE board without additional hardware. The holder is not designed for direct belt attachment — for duty belt mounting, consider a MOLLE panel belt adapter or a belt-loop-specific pouch.

What is the purpose of the nylon top strap on the Universal Tourniquet Holder?

The snag-resistant nylon top strap prevents the tourniquet from catching on gear, clothing, vegetation, or vehicle interiors during movement. Without a top strap, an elastic-retained tourniquet can be inadvertently pulled free when the operator brushes against surfaces — particularly relevant during vehicle entry/exit, crawling, or close-quarters movement. The nylon strap provides a low-profile containment layer while still allowing rapid intentional extraction with a firm pull.

Can the TQ patch on the Universal Tourniquet Holder be replaced?

Yes. The included 1" × 2" "TQ" patch attaches to the loop-fastener panel on the front of the holder using standard hook-and-loop (Velcro) backing and can be removed and replaced with any compatible hook-backed patch of the same size or smaller. Common replacements include blood type patches, unit identifier patches, or medical alert patches. Leaving the loop panel empty also functions as a visible surface for temporary labeling.
