The EMS Torso Trainer (EMS-T) occupies a unique position in the SIMBODIES lineup as the most procedure-capable torso trainer available in a portable tabletop format. For programs that cannot justify the cost of a full-body manikin but require realistic ALS skill practice across the widest possible range of interventions, the EMS-T delivers over 30 supported medical procedures in a lightweight unit that fits in a canvas holdall and deploys on any flat surface.

The airway is cast from a cadaver specimen to reproduce the precise anatomical geometry required for realistic laryngoscopy, tracheal intubation, and supraglottic airway device placement — the same human-casted standard that defines the full-body EMS-Man/Woman. The surgical airway site supports cricothyrotomy practice. Intraosseous access sites in the bilateral humeral heads allow IO insertion training in the position most commonly used in tactical and prehospital care. The needle decompression site at the anatomically correct 2nd intercostal space midclavicular line, and chest drain ports at the 5th intercostal space anterior axillary line, provide realistic tension pneumothorax management training.

The floating jaw with ceramic teeth, detailed anatomical landmarks, nasal passages, and prosthetic-grade silicone skin collectively produce a training experience that challenges and develops the fine motor skills, spatial orientation, and procedural confidence that mannequins with simplified airway simulators cannot match.
