Product Overview
Supplemental oxygen is the most widely deployed life-support intervention in emergency medicine, and the LIFE® O2 Mini brings that capability to settings where medical-grade oxygen systems are otherwise unavailable. Designed for school nurses' offices, dental practices, athletic training rooms, workplaces, and any location where an emergency can occur but a full oxygen kit is impractical, the O2 Mini provides 15 minutes of emergency oxygen from a compact 5-lb, 113L M4 aluminum cylinder — ready to deploy out of the box, no prescription required.
Two operational modes are built into a single system. For the breathing patient requiring supplemental oxygen — anaphylaxis, cardiac event, respiratory distress, diving emergency — the unit operates as an inhalator: oxygen flows via the 6 LPM fixed regulator through the delivery mask for supplemental support. For the non-breathing patient in cardiac arrest, the included LIFE® CPR Mask with one-way valve converts the system to oxygen-enriched mouth-to-mask CPR, dramatically increasing the FiO₂ delivered during resuscitation attempts compared to room-air CPR.
The constant-reading supply gauge is a standout feature: unlike many portable oxygen systems that require the valve to be opened before the gauge will show cylinder pressure, the LIFE O2 Mini provides a continuous gauge reading without opening the valve. This allows quick visual inspection to confirm the unit is full and ready without activating the system. The M4 cylinder is refillable or replaceable at oxygen suppliers, extending the investment beyond a single-use emergency application.
