What does the BRAVO kit add over the ALPHA kit?

The BRAVO kit adds vital signs assessment and airway management capability: an Adult Blood Pressure Cuff with case, a Sprague Stethoscope, a CPR Mask, and an Oropharyngeal Airway Kit with 6 sizes. These items transition the kit from a wound care/first aid kit to a first responder assessment kit capable of hemodynamic monitoring and basic airway management. All ALPHA supplies are also included.

What level of training is the BRAVO kit designed for?

The BRAVO kit is designed for EMT-Basic to first responder level providers who need to assess patients, monitor vitals, and support basic airway management in addition to wound care. The blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, and oropharyngeal airways require training to use effectively. It is appropriate for EMTs, industrial first aid professionals, corporate medical teams, athletic trainers, and trained first responders.

Why does the BRAVO weigh less than the ALPHA if it has more items?

The BRAVO (4 lb) weighing less than the ALPHA (7 lb) likely reflects differences in packaging density and the specific items included. The ALPHA's 100 Band-Aids, 50 gauze pads, and bulk supply quantities contribute significantly to weight, while the BRAVO may optimize supply counts in some categories while adding lighter assessment instruments. The exact configurations are assembled in-house and quantities are tailored to each kit's intended use level.

Does the BRAVO kit include a tourniquet?

No. The BRAVO kit does not include a tourniquet. Tourniquet and hemostatic wound packing capability is added starting with the CHARLIE kit in the MED-TAC series. For emergency response environments where traumatic bleeding is a risk, consider the CHARLIE or higher-tier kits, or add a C-A-T® Tourniquet separately from MED-TAC's hemorrhage control collection.

Can the BRAVO kit fill the MED-TAC First Response Backpack?

Yes. All MED-TAC fill kits are designed to work as standalone kits or as fill kits for MED-TAC bag systems. The BRAVO can be used to stock or restock the LXMB45 First Response Backpack or the Modular ALS Bag, as well as any compatible third-party EMS or first aid bag.
