The BOLLÉ X100 DUO Tactical Goggles are dual-lens ballistic goggles providing resistance to over 275 m/s (990 km/h) impact velocity — ideal for total ocular protection in high-fragmentation environments. The double-lens DUO system provides enhanced ballistic resistance and ultra-effective anti-fog performance via Bollé's Equalizer ventilation technology, which balances internal and external airflow to prevent fogging without compromising the occlusive seal. Item #: 90-0141.

Product Overview
Tactical goggles and tactical glasses serve different protective roles. Glasses provide ballistic fragmentation protection with excellent airflow and low profile — but they leave gaps at the eye's periphery, under the frames, and between the lens and face that allow fine debris, wind-borne particles, and chemical or biological agents to reach the eye. Goggles provide a full occlusive seal around the orbital region, making them the preferred choice for high-fragmentation environments, combat vehicle operations, breaching operations, and scenarios where total ocular protection is required.
The X100 DUO's primary protective advantage is its double-lens construction, which provides ballistic resistance exceeding 275 m/s (990 km/h) — a specification that meets and exceeds standard military ballistic fragmentation test velocities. The dual lens also forms an insulating air gap that significantly reduces lens fogging — the most common failure mode for tactical goggles in field use. Most single-lens goggles solve fogging with active ventilation ports, but those ports reduce the occlusive protection. The DUO system uses the insulating air gap and Equalizer™ passive ventilation technology to prevent fogging without compromising the occlusive seal.
Equalizer™ technology balances the air pressure differential between the goggle interior and the exterior environment — preventing the pressure-driven moisture accumulation that causes fogging when an operator moves from cold to warm environments, or generates significant heat during high-activity operations. The system works across extreme hot and cold temperature ranges, making the X100 DUO effective in both desert and arctic operational environments where temperature-induced fogging is a persistent challenge with conventional goggles.
Goggles vs. Glasses: When to Choose Goggles
Choose goggles (X100 DUO) over glasses (COMBAT Kit) when: operating in direct blast or fragmentation hazard zones; using breaching charges or explosive ordnance; operating in vehicles with open hatches in ballistic environments; operating in chemical/biological environments where ocular exposure must be prevented; or conducting operations in fine dust, smoke, or chemical irritant environments where glasses gaps would allow particulate ingress.
