The defining tactical feature of this pouch is the quick-pull interior strap. In a real casualty event, the treating operator — who may be working under fire, at night, or with one hand — cannot afford to unpack the IFAK item by item. The quick-pull strap allows all contents to be removed in a single motion, dumping them in a controlled fashion where they can be immediately employed. This mirrors the operational concept of SOFTT-W and CAT Gen 7 tourniquet deployment: the treatment chain must be executable one-handed, under stress, in the dark.
External webbing on both sides of the pouch provides attachment points for additional MOLLE-compatible accessories or for securing the pouch to adjacent gear.
