Product Overview
Chemical light sticks have long been the default triage marking tool on casualty collection points and mass casualty incident scenes. The E/T Triage Light improves on chem lights in every meaningful operational dimension: it can be turned off (chem lights cannot), it lasts 50–200 hours versus a chem light's typical 8–12-hour single use, it is reusable across multiple incidents, and its four built-in color modes (Red/Yellow/Green/Blue) eliminate the need to carry four separate color-coded chem light inventories.
The 15 programmable modes include both steady and strobe patterns. In triage, steady illumination identifies patient priority. Strobing at a casualty collection point enhances visibility and extraction speed from a distance under low-visibility or nighttime conditions. The conical tapered tip provides omnidirectional visibility from multiple angles — critical when triage markers must be seen from approaching aircraft, vehicles, or team members moving through smoke or darkness.
The silicone housing survives conditions that would destroy a plastic chem light alternative: extreme cold to -30°F (Arctic and mountain operations), extreme heat to 130°F (desert and vehicle-confined environments), and submersion to 66 feet for a full hour (water crossings, flood rescues, amphibious operations). The replaceable CR2 battery keeps the unit in service indefinitely; LED rated life of ~100,000 hours means the light source is effectively permanent with normal service.
