Product Overview
The MARCH™ Battle Bandage was designed to exceed the capabilities of traditional compression bandages in two specific dimensions: transparency and self-adhesion. In the conventional approach to combat wound management, once a pressure bandage is applied it cannot be reassessed without removal — creating clinical uncertainty about wound status during transport. The MARCH Battle Bandage's clear elastic wrap resolves this problem entirely: blood pooling, wound bleed-through, and limb circulation can all be assessed visually through the transparent wrap without disturbing the dressing. This capability is clinically meaningful in TACEVAC scenarios where serial patient assessment occurs during transport.
The self-adhesive mechanism eliminates the clips, bars, and hook-and-loop closures that are points of failure in conventional pressure bandages. The medical-grade adhesive sticks to skin and to itself, is non-irritating, and leaves no residue on skin upon removal. Because the wrap adheres to itself with each pass, circumferential wrapping builds pressure progressively and locks in place without any additional securing action. This characteristic also makes the MARCH Battle Bandage exceptional as an adjunct wrap over wound packing or hemostatic dressings, where maintaining sustained pressure without a bulk closure mechanism is advantageous.
The integrated 8 × 8 in. sterile cotton gauze pad provides substantial wound coverage for mid-size to large extremity wounds and torso injuries. At 2.5 oz in flat packaging — the lowest cube tactical packaging available for a product of this capability — the MARCH Battle Bandage stacks efficiently in plate carrier IFAKs and slim trauma pouches. The flat format was the original design intent of this product, and it remains available only in flat format.
