The TacMed™ LAPD Kit by Tactical Medical Solutions was designed to the specifications of the Los Angeles Police Department and is the authorized kit for all LA County Law Enforcement Agencies, including the LA Sheriff's Department. Product Overview
The TacMed™ LAPD Kit was developed through a formal collaboration with the Los Angeles Police Department to meet the specific requirements of patrol officers across LA County's law enforcement ecosystem. The result is a purpose-engineered belt-mounted trauma kit that balances operational completeness with the ergonomic constraints of a full patrol duty belt. The adjustable 1.5" or 2" belt attachment strap with integrated black D ring allows the kit to attach directly to the officer's belt or to a tourniquet pouch worn on the belt.
A unique feature is the detachable lower portion of the kit: when worn with the tourniquet pouch, the lower section can be detached to provide additional medical capability from the main pouch while the tourniquet remains separately accessible on the belt. This modularity is critical in an officer-down scenario where speed and access to each item independently matters. Both strap options come adjustable with a D ring that provides a rapid attachment point to a key clip or belt keeper.
The OLAES® 4" Modular Bandage included in the kit deserves specific mention: it functions as a pressure dressing, wound packing device, and emergency chest seal (using its built-in occlusive film), eliminating the need for three separate items in one compact package.
