For law enforcement officers working in plainclothes, investigators, off-duty carry, or any situation where MOLLE gear and visible medical equipment are not options, the TacMed™ Tourniquet Ankle Holster provides a discreet, secure carry solution for a SOF® Tactical Tourniquet. Designed and manufactured in the USA by Tactical Medical Solutions — the makers of the SOF-T® tourniquet — the ankle holster is purpose-built to carry their tourniquet in a posture-neutral position that is immediately accessible with either hand from a standing, seated, or downed position.

The holster is constructed from 3mm perforated neoprene, a closed-cell foam material that is breathable, moisture-resistant, and flexible enough to conform to a wide range of calf and ankle circumferences under the "one size fits most" sizing. Perforations in the neoprene reduce heat retention and sweat accumulation during extended wear — a critical comfort consideration for all-day carry in operational environments. The hook-and-loop fastener system wraps the holster securely around the ankle or lower calf with enough retention to remain stable during running, climbing, vehicle entry/exit, and other high-movement activities without the tourniquet shifting or falling free.

Positioning a tourniquet at the ankle creates an access point accessible with either hand regardless of upper body injury, which aligns directly with CoTCCC self-application doctrine. For patrol officers sitting in vehicles for extended periods, the ankle tourniquet is immediately reachable without the seat belt or duty belt restrictions that slow access to belt-mounted carriers.
