The Vanquest FATPack-Pro SMALL Medical Backpack is the compact-format flagship of the FATPack-Pro line — a 9-liter, full-featured tactical medical sling/backpack that fills the space between a dedicated IFAK pouch and a full medical backpack. At 13.5×9×4.75 inches and 2.1 lbs fully configured, it carries a comprehensive trauma and MCI kit without the bulk of a large medical pack, while delivering construction and organizational quality that exceeds most dedicated tactical medical bags at a larger size.
The clamshell opening provides full main compartment access in a single motion, revealing the two-panel interior organization system: Panel A (11.5×5 in) with elastic loops for rapid-pull open-face supply staging, and Panel B (12×8.5 in / the Small B-Side Insert) with three vinyl mesh zippered pouches for enclosed category storage. Both panels are removable for configuration changes or standalone deployment. Dual layers of elastic loops over hi-visibility ripstop interior pockets allow additional open-face storage for tourniquets, bandages, and airway devices. The loop-lined interior accommodates any hook-backed organizational accessories for custom configuration.
Two front trauma shear holsters with large RED pull handles provide instant shear access without opening any compartment — a critical design feature that eliminates one of the most common time losses during casualty care initiation. The rear MOLLE/PALS webbing and large rear MOLLE panel allow attachment to plate carriers and chest rigs, with removable dual shoulder straps enabling transition from vest-mounted to backpack carry. Mil-grade ITW® and UTX-Duraflex® hardware and 500-D Cordura® with DWR coating provide the material durability expected from professional-grade tactical equipment.
