Product Overview
The DMS Tactical Triage Chest Pack is the field-tested, award-winning solution for first responders who need immediate access to triage ribbons, patient count documentation, and life-saving intervention (LSI) supplies during active MCI operations. Winner of the 2013 EMSWorld Innovation of the Year, the DMS-05980 has been adopted by tactical EMS teams, fire departments, law enforcement medics, and military medical units across the country for active shooter, blast, and multi-casualty response.
The neck-sling design allows the triage officer to don the pack in seconds — faster than any vest or backpack configuration — and positions the pack at the chest for eyes-free access to ribbons and supplies without looking down. The integrated 4-color triage ribbon dispenser eliminates the dangerous tangle problem that causes critical time loss when pulling standard ribbon from pockets or bags. Each of the four 300-foot rolls is dedicated to one triage category, preventing color errors under stress.
The Morgue ribbon uses a distinctive Black/White Diagonal Stripe pattern specifically for low-light identification — a design feature developed for operational environments where standard solid-color ribbons become indistinguishable under tactical lighting. Internal and external MOLLE webbing allows customization with LSI pouches, tourniquet holders, or chest seal carriers to create a fully-equipped triage vest configuration. The optional loadout package allows the DMS-05980 to be configured for specific agency needs.
