No single intervention addresses all variables: wound packing alone cannot be maintained hands-free; a clamp alone does not address deep cavity hemorrhage; hemostatic agents alone may not seal the skin surface. The ITClamp Wound Pack Duo Advanced bundles three complementary tools into a single grab-and-go package.
The clinical logic is layered: NAR Wound Pack Gauze provides the wound cavity fill and initial pressure base. Celox Rapid Ribbon hemostatic gauze, packed on top, creates active chitosan-mediated clot formation that works independently of platelet function and the coagulation cascade — critical for coagulopathic trauma patients. The iTClamp® then seals the wound surface, containing the hematoma under hydrostatic pressure and eliminating the need for ongoing manual force. This three-component approach addresses deep cavity bleeding, surface hemorrhage, and clotting augmentation simultaneously.
