The MTR Spit Hood addresses one of the most common exposure risks in law enforcement and EMS: saliva-borne transmission from combative individuals. It slips easily over the subject's head and is secured by an elastic neck band that prevents self-removal while remaining explicitly non-choking — the band does not create strangulation risk even if a subject struggles or is placed on their side.
