Product Overview

The Chase Tactical Striker ACHHC represents the high-cut configuration of Chase Tactical's flagship Advanced Combat Helmet line — the most widely used ballistic helmet form factor among contemporary U.S. law enforcement tactical units and military special operations forces. The high-cut profile specifically removes the bulk behind and above the ears found in older PASGT and standard-cut ACH designs, enabling unobstructed use of over-the-ear hearing protection, active comms headsets (such as those from Peltor and Ops-Core), and secure-fit ear protection systems that are now standard in breaching, CQB, and tactical operations.

Protection is delivered by a multi-layered Kevlar® fiber and thermoset resin shell, tested and verified to meet or exceed NIJ Standard 0106.01 — the applicable NIJ standard for ballistic helmets — by an NVLAP-accredited laboratory. This means the helmet has demonstrated the capability to stop 9mm FMJ (1,400 ft/s), .357 Magnum JSP (1,395 ft/s), and .44 Magnum SJHP (1,400 ft/s) without complete penetration. Additionally, the shell has been MIL-STD 662F tested for fragmentation resistance, a performance specification inherited from the U.S. military's helmet procurement standards and critical for personnel operating in environments where secondary fragmentation from explosives or indirect fire is a threat.

The interior of the Striker ACHHC features the D3O TRUST 7-point ACH pad system. D3O is a rate-sensitive material widely specified across military and law enforcement protective equipment for its ability to remain flexible and comfortable at low-stress levels while stiffening dramatically on impact to absorb and distribute kinetic energy. The 7-pad configuration provides full crown contact and reduces the risk of traumatic brain injury (TBI) from blunt impact that can accompany even stopped ballistic events. A four-point chin harness with leather-lined chin strap and nape pad provides secure helmet retention during dynamic movement.

Accessories & Platform Integration

The Striker ACHHC ships with ARC rails on both sides of the shell — the standard attachment interface for side-mounted accessories including helmet lights, counterweights, and camera mounts. A forward NVG shroud enables the attachment of PVS-14 monoculars, GPNVG-18 "panoramic" systems, or other night-vision devices using standard dovetail mounts. A bungee retention strap and Velcro strip complete the standard accessory package. The reduced-profile high-cut shell provides wider peripheral vision and upward field of view compared to standard-cut ACH configurations — a direct operational benefit during building clearance, vehicle operations, and close-quarters movement.
