The EMS-Man/Woman by Safeguard Medical is not a manikin — it is a training patient. Built from prosthetic-grade platinum silicone cast from real human anatomy, including a cadaver-sourced airway that reproduces the pharyngeal and tracheal geometry of an actual adult, it delivers a training experience that is qualitatively different from any conventional ALS manikin. Emergency services and healthcare educators worldwide trust it as their primary simulation platform precisely because it is the closest available approximation to working on a real human body.

The full-body format supports the complete spectrum of ALS interventions: tourniquet application and wound packing for extremity hemorrhage, removable lower-leg amputation with bleeding capability, thigh and groin wound packing with junctional bleeding, laryngoscopy and tracheal intubation through the cadaver-casted airway, supraglottic airway insertion, BVM ventilation, needle thoracocentesis, chest seal application, IO access at both tibias and bilateral humeral heads, chest compressions, and AED/defibrillator pad application. The integrated Bluetooth speaker delivers realistic airway, respiratory, and vocal sounds synchronized with the scenario, adding a dimension of psychological realism that static manikins cannot provide.
