The NAR Logging First Aid & Trauma Kit – Soft Case provides the same OSHA-exceeding first aid capability as the hard case version in a more compact, vehicle-friendly soft bag format. The rugged nylon construction with 550 cord pulls is built to survive the demanding conditions of active logging sites — truck cabs, equipment compartments, and field storage — while remaining slim enough to stow in spaces where a hard case won't fit.
Like its hard case counterpart, this kit centers on the C-A-T® Tourniquet — the CoTCCC-recommended standard for extremity hemorrhage control — recognizing that chainsaw injuries, traumatic amputations, and crush injuries with severe limb bleeding are the most life-threatening scenarios logging crews encounter. The included Just-In-Time Bleeding Control instruction card enables bystander-level responders to apply a tourniquet even without prior training, maximizing the kit's utility across an entire work crew regardless of their first aid background.
