Product Overview
The NAR Mini T-PAK bridges the gap between a purpose-built trauma IFAK and a civilian outdoor first aid kit. Most trail and outdoor kits are built exclusively for minor cuts and blisters — they lack the tourniquets, hemostatic gauze, and chest seals required to manage a serious traumatic injury in a remote environment where EMS response may be 30–60 minutes away. The Mini T-PAK gives outdoor users the same hemorrhage control tools found in military and law enforcement IFAKs, integrated with a complete minor-care kit for everyday trail injuries.
The outer packaging is the key distinguishing feature: an aLOKSAK® hermetically sealed 6-mil film bag certified waterproof to 200 feet (60 meters). This means the kit's contents remain completely dry even when submerged — a critical requirement for water sports, multi-day backpacking in rain, river crossings, and cold/wet environment operations. An inner re-sealable aLOKSAK® bag (4.5 in. × 9 in.) allows the minor care items to be accessed and re-sealed independently without exposing the trauma items.
The trauma core of the kit is the orange CAT Gen 7 tourniquet (CoTCCC-recommended), NAR Wound Packing Gauze for deep wound hemostasis, and the HyFin Vent Compact Chest Seal Twin Pack for penetrating chest injuries. The inclusion of vented chest seals — the same type used in military IFAKs — provides life-saving capability for the pneumothorax risk that exists any time a penetrating chest injury occurs in the backcountry. At 1.0 lb and 9 in. × 4.5 in. × 2 in., the Mini T-PAK fits in a cargo pocket, day pack, or lumbar pack without compromise.
