The North American Rescue (NAR) Patrol Vehicle Trauma Kit is a modular, vehicle-deployable trauma system designed to give law enforcement, security, and emergency response personnel an immediately accessible, full-spectrum medical kit staged within their patrol vehicle. NAR — the manufacturer of the C-A-T® tourniquet — engineered this kit around real-world law enforcement injury data, ensuring that every item inside addresses the leading causes of preventable death in traumatic injury: hemorrhage, tension pneumothorax, and airway obstruction.

The Basic Kit (80-05842) is built around compressed gauze, while the Basic w/Combat Gauze variant (80-0859) upgrades the hemostatic dressing to NAR Combat Gauze LE — a QuikClot-impregnated Z-fold gauze that is CoTCCC-recommended for wound packing in penetrating trauma. Both variants include the same chassis of bleeding control supplies, environmental care items, and trauma assessment tools, differing only in hemostatic dressing selection.
