The RUF Pack fills the critical role between a single-casualty IFAK and a full squad-medic aid bag: it carries two complete IFAK-equivalent sets plus additional trauma supplies in a slim-profile, bandolier-carry pack that doesn't burden the wearer with the bulk and weight of a traditional medical backpack. This makes it ideal for squad automatic weapon gunners, small team medics, law enforcement officers on extended patrol, and operators who need multi-casualty capability without the volume penalty.
The dual tear-away panel design is the RUF's defining feature: two identical internal panels, each holding a complete set of IFAK contents, can be removed individually and handed to a casualty or non-medical team member for self-aid — effectively distributing the medic's two IFAK sets to two separate patients simultaneously. The two tear-away clear accessory pouches provide additional organized storage for supplemental supplies specific to the operator's mission set.
An internal shock cord panel sized for a compact soft litter (such as the QuikLitter™ LITE) integrates casualty evacuation capability into the platform. The slick front with large central velcro accommodates standard ID patches and unit markings, while single-row MOLLE on the sides allows attachment of tourniquet pouches, scissor leashes, or breach pens without significantly expanding the pack's profile. The waist strap is removable for streamlined bandolier-only carry.
