The IOC Set includes the Rampart™ system — Safeguard Medical's mounting and integration solution that secures the SAVe II+ ventilator to stretchers, litters, tactical vehicles, and other patient platforms. This is particularly critical for aeromedical and ground MEDEVAC operations where unsecured equipment poses a patient safety and mission risk. The combination of EMMA capnography integration, circuit resupply components, and organized carry case means units reach full mission capability without additional sourcing delays.

The SAVe II+ ventilator itself is the only component not included — it is sold separately. This set weighs 8.35 kg (18.4 lbs) fully kitted, reflecting the comprehensive nature of the IOC package. About the SAVe II+ Ventilator Platform

The SAVe II+ Simplified Automated Ventilator is a compact, durable portable mechanical ventilator designed for prehospital, aeromedical, and Role 1/2 field hospital use. It weighs 2.8 lbs and operates for up to 9.25 hours on a single charge. Using height-based patient presets, it automatically calculates tidal volume at 6 mL/kg ideal body weight — a methodology aligned with lung-protective ventilation strategies. The device also supports manual CPR ventilation mode, making it functional across both spontaneous-breathing-absent and cardiac-arrest scenarios.

The SAVe II+ is referenced in TCCC protocols as a mechanical ventilation option for prolonged field care (PFC) scenarios where manual BVM ventilation is unsustainable. Its design prioritizes use by personnel with minimal advanced airway training — the interface is reduced to patient height selection and a single confirm button, with audible and visual alarms for circuit disconnection, pressure limits, and low battery.
