The SKEDCO Sked® Basic Rescue System (SK-200) is the original and definitive standard for confined-space, high-angle, and technical rescue — deployed by U.S. military units, fire departments, and rescue teams worldwide since its introduction. When packaged, the flexible plastic Sked® becomes rigid to protect the patient during the most demanding confined-space extrications. Available with Cobra Quick Release or traditional Steel Buckles. Price includes CONUS freight shipping. Made in USA.

Product Overview
The Sked® stretcher is one of the most significant innovations in rescue equipment history. Before the Sked®, confined-space rescue — cave collapses, mine accidents, industrial entrapments, subterranean passages — required either manhandling an unpackaged patient through debris and tight openings (risking severe additional injury) or waiting for heavy rescue equipment to arrive. The Sked's flexible plastic construction wraps around the patient to create a rigid cocoon that protects them completely while allowing extrication through openings as narrow as the folded system's width.
This patented design principle — a flexible material that becomes structurally rigid when the patient is packaged — gives the Sked® its unique advantage over all alternatives. A packaged Sked® patient can be dragged, slid, lowered vertically, hoisted horizontally by helicopter, and carried on rough terrain with complete confidence in patient protection. The system ships as a complete ready-to-use package at 17 lb in a Cordura backpack, requiring no additional equipment purchases for most standard applications.
The Cobra Buckle variant provides faster patient packaging and release — critical in time-sensitive rescues. The Steel Buckle variant uses traditional military-proven buckles that are familiar to personnel with standard rescue training. Both variants include identical hardware (horizontal lift slings, vertical lift sling, tow strap, removable webbing handles, and carabiner) for the full range of SKEDCO rescue applications.
