There's a capability gap between what a single operator carries in an IFAK and what a medic hauls in a full aid bag. A squad taking multiple casualties needs more than one person's worth of supplies — but a non-medic shouldn't be saddled with a medic's ruck.
What does a squad carry when one IFAK isn't enough and a medic bag is too much?
This kit fills it. North American Rescue engineered the Squad Responder around the skill set and decision-making of CLS-trained, non-medic personnel working under stress — refining the Army CLS concept with a modular layout, higher-grade components, and a purpose-built carrier. Hemorrhage control runs deep: two C-A-T® tourniquets for extremity bleeds, two Z-Fold Combat Gauze® hemostatic dressings for junctional and packable wounds, and two 6″ trauma dressings for pressure. Penetrating chest trauma is covered by two HyFin® Vent Twin Packs — four vented seals total — paired with two ARS® 14-gauge needle decompression devices. A 28F nasopharyngeal airway addresses basic airway when positioning isn't enough, and burn, splint, eye, and hypothermia items round out the MARCH span. The bag is 1000-denier Cordura® solution-dyed nylon — fade-, abrasion-, and UV-resistant — with sand- and water-resistant ITW Nexus zippers and silent pulls that hold a low acoustic signature on a quiet approach. At 14 × 14 × 5″ it rides flat in a vehicle, pack, or crew compartment without eating space.
Provider scope: This kit includes a nasopharyngeal airway and ARS® needle decompression devices — advanced interventions intended for trained personnel operating within their scope of practice and local protocols. This listing describes kit contents; it is not a substitute for accredited training.

How It Compares
Squad Responder Kit vs. individual IFAK: The IFAK is personal carry (1 casualty); the Squad Responder Kit is a shared resource for treating multiple casualties at the squad level. Both are required for a fully equipped element. See IFAK kits.
Squad Responder Kit vs. squad bag: The squad bag is the medic's comprehensive medical platform; the Squad Responder Kit is pre-packaged for squad-level first-response before the medic arrives. They are complementary, not competing. See hemorrhage control.
Pre-packaged kit vs. custom build: Pre-packaged kits ensure consistent, CoTCCC-verified loadouts across multiple squads; custom builds allow tailoring but require quality validation effort. See tourniquet pouches.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does the Squad Responder Kit include CoTCCC-recommended items?
A: Yes. The Squad Responder Kit is built around CoTCCC-recommended components for the leading preventable causes of traumatic death: hemorrhage (tourniquets, gauze, dressings) and chest injury (chest seals). Verify current kit contents in the product listing.
Q: What training is required to use the Squad Responder Kit?
A: All squad members should complete TCCC All Service Member or Combat Lifesaver training minimum. The kit is designed for squad-level first response before the medic arrives — training ensures correct application under stress.
Q: How many casualties can the Squad Responder Kit treat?
A: Verify specific quantities in the current product listing. The Squad Responder Kit is designed for multi-casualty response — each tourniquet and chest seal set treats one casualty.
Q: What is the NSN or procurement path for the Squad Responder Kit?
A: Available through MED-TAC International directly. DoD unit procurement can contact NAR for current NSN and GSA contract vehicle information.
Q: Can the Squad Responder Kit be restocked after use?
A: Yes. All consumable components are available individually through MED-TAC International. Replace all used items immediately after an incident; do not deploy a partially-stocked kit.
