Combat to Medical Configuration — The Combat Pack ships as a general-purpose tactical platform. Configure it as a medical ruck by adding TT Modular Medic Insert (sold separately):
- Main compartment (17L) — accepts full modular medic insert for TCCC staging
- Upper front pocket (2L) — bandages, documentation, or comms
- Lower front pocket (3L) — CAT tourniquet × 3, shears, NPA
- Side MOLLE — NAR or TT IFAK pouches, radio pouch, light
- Elastic side sleeves — water bottle, flare, or field expedient
- Hip fin pockets — personal medications, ID, quick-access items
Primary assault pack. 22L hits the sweet spot for 8–12 hour ops — enough for ammunition, comms, food, and an IFAK without overloading.
Tactical medic platform when combined with modular medic insert. 22L handles full hemorrhage + airway + secondary survey kit.
Entry-support backpack. Front pocket layout optimized for staged breaching tools, comms, and first-line trauma.
Extended-op staging pack. Elastic side pockets, removable hip belt, and modular interior adapt to EMS-specific load requirements.
When to Choose the Modular Combat Pack
- Assault / direct action ops — 22L is the optimal capacity for 8-hour mission loads — concealable, manageable, and MOLLE-expandable.
- Modular medic ruck — Combine with TT Medic Insert for an on-demand TCCC pack that converts back to a utility pack between missions.
- Vehicle crew pack — Detachable hip belt allows tight-seat storage. Three front pockets stage immediate-access gear at the ready position.
- Extended LE patrol — Removable hip belt distributes load on foot patrol. MOLLE exterior mounts a radio pouch, cuffs, or extra magazines.
Modular Combat Pack vs. The Competition
- vs. 5.11 RUSH 24 2.0 — TT Combat Pack is Bundeswehr-rated, uses aluminum back stay vs. 5.11's foam panel. 5.11 wins on internal pockets; TT wins on MOLLE surface area and material grade.
- vs. Eberlestock Operator Pack — Eberlestock targets hunting/mountain dual-use. TT Combat Pack is pure tactical — no rifle scabbard, but superior modular expansion and armor-carry adjustment.
- vs. Maxpedition Vulture II — Vulture II is built for EDC/CCW. TT Combat Pack is military spec — thicker CORDURA, more MOLLE, and proper helmet/HPA carry provisions.
- vs. TT Modular Pack 30 — 8L less capacity. Combat Pack is the right call when you need to wear it over armor or move fast. Pack 30 is for heavier loads or medic builds.
Frequently Asked Questions — Modular Combat Pack
- Does the hip belt detach completely?
- Yes. The padded hip belt with zippered fin pockets detaches via buckle system for wear over body armor or vehicle ops.
- Is this compatible with the TT Medic Insert?
- Yes. The main compartment interior hook-and-loop MOLLE bay accepts the TT Modular Medic Insert, converting this combat pack into a full TCCC trauma bag.
- What is the shoulder strap length adjustment range?
- The straps are adjustable to accommodate users wearing IOTV, plate carriers, or chest rigs. TT does not publish a specific range but the system fits S–XL torso lengths with armor.
- Does it have a hydration bladder port?
- Yes. The rear compartment includes a hydration bladder sleeve and hose routing port compatible with standard 2–3L bladder systems.
