A multi-curve plate is shaped in two axes simultaneously: it curves laterally across the chest (left to right) to follow the pectoral contour, and curves longitudinally (top to bottom) to follow the natural slope of the torso from the shoulder to the abdomen. This dual-axis curvature is what makes the plate feel like it belongs against the body rather than resting against it.
