The Kydex Tourniquet TACO® Pouch by High Speed Gear is a rigid, low-profile carrier that secures most windlass tourniquets — including the CAT Gen 7, SOFTT-W, and SAM XT — to any belt up to 2" wide or MOLLE/PALS surface. Built from T1 aircraft-grade Kydex (.080 thickness) co-manufactured with Comp-Tac, it retains its shape in all weather conditions and deploys with a single firm pull. Available in Black.

Product Overview
The Kydex Tourniquet TACO® Pouch represents a collaboration between High Speed Gear — the originator of the TACO (Tactical Accessory Clip On) pouch family — and Comp-Tac, a precision Kydex manufacturer best known for holster production. The result is a tourniquet carrier that marries the TACO's elastic-free, tool-free retention philosophy with Kydex's unique material properties: it is smooth on the interior, impervious to sweat and most solvents, holds zero water after submersion, and will not deform under sustained pressure or UV exposure. Unlike fabric pouches with hook-and-loop closures or buckled lids, the Kydex TACO retains your tourniquet purely by friction-fit geometry — the pouch conforms around the tourniquet body and releases with a direct, one-handed pull requiring no fumbling with snaps or straps.
The pouch accepts virtually every major windlass tourniquet on the market — the CAT Gen 7, the SAM XT, the SOFTT and SOFTT-Wide, and similarly sized devices. The shock-cord design allows the Kydex shell to flex slightly to accommodate minor size differences between models without losing positive retention. Two HSGI Universal Clips ship with the pouch, enabling immediate attachment to any 2"-or-smaller duty belt or to MOLLE/PALS webbing in belt-slot or column-webbing orientation. The TACO hole pattern on the mounting face is shared across the entire HSGI TACO family, which means a second Kydex TQ TACO can stack directly behind the first — two tourniquets in the footprint of one pouch.
A removable top flap gives operators the choice between a covered carry mode — shielding the tourniquet from environmental debris and reducing visual signature — and an open-top mode that allows the fastest possible extraction under stress. Loop-fastener panels on the exterior accommodate a "TQ" patch (included) or any standard blood type / identifier patch for TCCC marking. The Kydex shell is non-conductive, easy to decontaminate with standard field antiseptic solutions, and will not absorb odors or chemicals over time. For operators who already run an HSGI Cobra or Operator belt, the Kydex TACO integrates seamlessly into the existing system aesthetic.
Mounting & Compatibility
The two included HSGI Universal Clips convert the pouch from a belt-slot attachment (fits belts through 2") to a MOLLE-compatible clip in seconds. No tools required. The clips are the same hardware used across the HSGI TACO line, so spare clips are readily available if operators want to reconfigure positioning. The pouch can also be mounted to HSGI's own Operator Belt and Cobra Rigger Belt systems directly. For vehicle EDC, the pouch mounts to headrest MOLLE panels or roll cage webbing without modification.
