However, each canister should only be used on one patient — once activated, the sterile seal is broken and sterility inside the can cannot be guaranteed if used on a second animal. For multi-animal environments (farms, K9 units with multiple dogs, veterinary practices), the 3-pack or 12-pack options ensure individual canisters are available for each patient.
