The LIFE StartSystem provides a complete, wall-mountable emergency oxygen solution sized to work alongside the Philips HeartStart OnSite AED — creating a single wall location that handles both defibrillation and oxygen therapy requirements for cardiac emergency response. Its two-step operation (Inhalator for breathing victims; Resuscitator for non-breathing victims) reduces the training burden to two simple use cases, making it appropriate for lay first responders in workplace programs without advanced medical training.
The 113L M4 aluminum cylinder provides the FDA-required minimum of 15+ minutes of oxygen at 6 LPM — sufficient duration to bridge the gap between bystander response and EMS arrival in most urban and suburban settings. The LIFE-612 Regulator delivers NORM (6 LPM) and HIGH (12 LPM) flow rates matching AHA recommendations for cardiac emergency oxygen protocols. The knurled-knob on/off valve is durable and operable with gloved hands.
Two purchasing configurations accommodate different deployment needs: the wall unit only (LIFE-02-LSS-1) for organizations already owning the Philips OnSite AED, and the bundle (LIFE-02-LSS-2) including the Philips HeartStart OnSite AED for complete one-procurement cardiac emergency station setup. The case is designed to physically accommodate the OnSite AED alongside the oxygen unit, creating a compact integrated station at the scale of a briefcase.
