When to Deploy the Tactical Rapid Deployment Kit

• Multi-casualty vehicle accident or trauma scene: The TRDK gives the first-arriving provider enough supplies to treat 2–4 hemorrhagic casualties before resupply is required. Four tourniquets, two rolls of Combat Gauze, four chest seals, and two pressure dressings cover the primary injuries across multiple patients.
• Tactical element medic kit: The team medic or TEMS provider carries the TRDK as the primary team med kit, supplemented by individual IFAKs on each team member. When an individual IFAK is used, the TRDK provides resupply and higher-capability items (NPA, needle decompression) that IFAKs typically omit.
• Active threat / mass shooting response: Law enforcement or EMS response to an active threat scene with multiple casualties. The TRDK gives the first medical provider on scene the capacity to begin treating multiple casualties before additional medical resources arrive.
• Combat medic forward deployment: Military medics in a forward position carry the TRDK as their primary casualty care kit. The multi-casualty supply volume and CoTCCC-standard contents align with TCCC expectations for a forward medic role.
