MED-TAC International

MED-TAC International's Custom First Aid Kit service builds mission-specific trauma and medical kits to your exact specifications — configured by a clinician-founded team with real-world tactical medicine experience. Choose your bag or case, select components from our full inventory of CoTCCC-recommended devices and clinical supplies, and receive a purpose-built kit for your unit, department, facility, or operation. No pre-packaged compromises.

Why Choose a Custom-Built First Aid Kit Over a Pre-Packaged Kit?

Pre-packaged kits are designed for the average use case — which often means they include products you won't use and omit critical items specific to your environment or threat profile. A school in an urban district has different requirements than a fire team in an austere environment, a range safety program, or a corporate medical office covering a 2,000-person facility. MED-TAC's custom kit building service starts with your mission requirements: patient population, anticipated injury patterns, responder training level, environmental constraints, and transport or storage requirements. From there, our clinical team configures a kit optimized for your specific context — no filler, no shortfalls. Explore the base bag and case options in our Medic Pouches & Packs collection and the full component menu in Medical Fill Kits & Modules.

How Does the MED-TAC Kit Building Process Work?

Start by selecting a base platform — bag, pouch, pack, or case — from our inventory. Then choose components from our full catalog: CoTCCC-recommended tourniquets, hemostatic gauze, chest seals, pressure dressings, airway adjuncts, IV/IO supplies, splints, diagnostic tools, and medications where appropriate. Our clinical team reviews each custom order to confirm component compatibility, volume-to-container fit, and clinical logic before fulfillment. For large institutional or unit orders, we offer a consultation call with a medically trained team member to work through requirements before finalizing the kit manifest. Custom kits ship with a complete packing list and component spec sheet. Bulk orders of 10 or more kits are eligible for volume pricing — contact our team through the Custom Kits page or at the site. See also the IFAK Kit Builder for online self-configuration.

Can MED-TAC Build Kits to Government or Military Specifications?

Yes. MED-TAC International is an SDVOSB-certified (Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business) clinician-founded company with deep experience building kits to CoTCCC, TCCC, TECC, and Joint Trauma System standards. We support procurement for federal, state, and local government agencies — including law enforcement departments, fire and rescue services, National Guard units, and municipal emergency management offices. For procurement officers requiring NSN-compliant components, specific brand mandates, or government-standard packaging, our team can accommodate those requirements. For law enforcement and military deployments, browse the Military Medical Kits and Police Med Kits collections for pre-configured options, or use the custom service for mission-specific builds.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum order for a custom kit?+
There is no minimum order quantity for custom kits — MED-TAC builds single units as well as large institutional orders. Individual operators, solo practitioners, or personal users can configure a custom kit with the same clinical precision as a bulk department order. Volume pricing applies at 10 or more identical kits. For single-unit orders with specialized or low-stock components, lead time is typically 3–5 business days; standard component kits ship same or next day.
Can I specify particular brands for each component in a custom kit?+
Yes. MED-TAC carries a full range of brands for most kit categories — multiple tourniquet options (North American Rescue CAT, SAM XT, SOFTT-W), multiple hemostatic agents (QuikClot, Celox, ChitoGauze), multiple chest seal manufacturers, and varied pressure dressing options. If your unit, department, or personal preference specifies a particular brand or product variant, we build to that spec. We do not substitute without notification. Components are verified as authentic, manufacturer-sourced or authorized distributor items.
Can custom kits include prescription medications or controlled substances?+
MED-TAC custom kits are built from our available retail inventory and do not include prescription medications or Schedule I–V controlled substances. Kits can include OTC analgesics, hemostatic agents, airway adjuncts, IV supplies, and all non-prescription trauma care components. For law enforcement, military, or medical program customers requiring prescription medications (morphine, ketamine, tranexamic acid, etc.) in kit builds, those components must be procured and added separately through licensed medical channels under the oversight of a licensed prescriber.
What bags and platforms are available for custom kit builds?+
Platform options include MOLLE-compatible IFAK pouches, assault pack-style medical backpacks, sling bags, trauma bags, rolling EMS cases, hard Pelican-style cases, and wall-mounted cabinet housings for institutional placement. Brands available include North American Rescue, Chinook Medical Gear, Tasmanian Tiger, Mystery Ranch, 5.11 Tactical, Fieldtex, and others depending on current inventory. The Medic Pouches & Packs and EMS Backpacks collections show available platform options to build on.
Does MED-TAC provide a kit manifest or packing list with custom orders?+
Yes. Every custom kit order ships with a complete component packing list documenting each item by product name, brand, quantity, lot number (where applicable), and expiration date. This serves as the initial inspection record and restocking reference. For institutional and government orders, we can provide this documentation in a standardized format suitable for inventory management systems. Digital copies of packing lists are also available on request for record-keeping purposes.
